• Babil Khan is an Indian filmmaker and actor. He is famous for being the elder son of the famous Indian actor Irrfan Khan.

• He was born and brought up in Mumbai.

  

• While talking about his religion in an Instagram post, he wrote,
  

  My mom is Hindu, I was raised as a man without a religion. I have enjoyed the festivities of Diwali and Holi and Raksha Bandhan and Eid and I’ve also been to a church and paid my respect. Bro you are talking with so much hate for so long, I think you must question if the hate is in me or you. Hate against Hindus, I LOVE PEOPLE, I’m trying to stand FOR PEOPLE, it is people like you trying to bring me down.”

• During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, while he was stuck in London (as he was studying there), his mother Sutapa Sikdar uploaded a post on her social media account requesting the Indian government to help the students studying abroad to bring them back to India.

• Babil came into the eyes of the media when he was at the Versova Kabristan in Mumbai performing the last rites of his father, Irrfan Khan, on 29 April 2020.

• He acted in the English short film ‘The Mattress Man: A Yawn to Action’ in 2021.

• He was roped in the Hindi film ‘The Railway Men’ along with the actors like R. Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, and Divyendu Sharma which was set to release in December 2022.
