• Alexander completed his master’s in Software Engineering in the United States. After that, he worked at Amazon in Seattle.

• While studying in the United States, Alex started his training in the Carnatic style of music as a Carnatic vocalist.

• Growing up, Alex always had a love for music and singing. He used to sing at the local church as a part of their choir and also played instruments like tabla and harmonium.

• Alex shared his love for music with his father and elder brother. His father was a big fan of singers like Sirkazhi Govindarajan and T.M. Soundararajan, while his elder brother loved to listen to K. J. Yesudas. Due to this, Alex used to listen to a lot of classical Tamil music growing up.

• Alex worked as a software engineer for fifteen years while also pursuing music and performances on the side.

• Alex pursued stand-up comedy as a full-time career and quit his job in 2014. Initially, he only planned to take a sabbatical for two years and return to his IT profession if the stand-up didn’t work. It was his wife who suggested that he should take a break and follow his passion.

• Alex performs clean and musical comedy, ensuring his jokes are safe for everyone and have a purpose.

• Alex, an older individual, noticed that his audience mainly consisted of teenagers and people in their early 20s. Surprisingly, the younger audience enjoyed his sets on old Tamil songs. This inspired him to create his special “Alex in Wonderland,” which he performed 115 shows before ending it in 2019 and is now available on Amazon Prime.

  

• After the success of ‘Alex In The Wonderland’, Alex created his next special titled, ‘Alexperience.” The Special is similar to his previous work but yet different.

  

• Alex planned to end his special, Alexperience, in 2024. He has already planned his next special which will revolve around the history of the Tamil language.

• Other than being a comedian, Alex has tried his hand at acting as well. He has appeared in films like Time Enna Boss and Maara. Alex is also open to doing good, pivotal roles in cinema.

• Alex is also a yoga instructor and posts on his social media recommending to his followers the benefits of yoga and exercises & poses to try.
