• Saibal Bhattacharya is an Indian story, script, and dialogue writer who predominantly works in Bengali serials. On 9 August 2022, he came into the limelight when he hit himself while drunk at his residence in Kolkata. According to the media sources, Saibal Bhattacharya hurt himself and shared a video on one of his social media accounts. Soon after the incident, he was admitted to Calcutta National Medical College and Hospital in the city.

Reportedly, he was suffering from depression and substance abuse and was dissatisfied with his personal life as he was unable to find work. On one of his social media platforms, Saibal Bhattacharya posted a video talking about the same.   He injured himself in his head and right leg yesterday due to depression under the severe influence of alcohol.”
