• Adoney John is a South Indian research scholar and orator, based in the Kerala state of India.

• He is a PhD scholar of Political Science who is doing his research on the European migrant crisis.

• During his school and college days, he received many prizes in inter-college competitions in elocutions and debate events like Sister Savio Speech Competition, CM Stephen Speech Competition, Thazhathukunnel Aaron S Cherian Memorial Speech Competition, and KMEA Speech Competition.

  

• Several national and international research journals have published Adoney’s research papers. He has also presented speeches at several speeches, debates, Best Manager, Best Personality, and RJ Hunt competitions across Kerala.

• In 2017, he made an appearance in an advertisement for Kochi Metro, a high-speed transport system serving Kochi in Kerala.

  

• In 2017, he appeared in the reality TV show ‘Oru Nimisham,’ aired on Flowers channel and hosted by veteran journalist Sreekandan Nair.

  

• He also appeared in the reality shows Manya Mahajanangale (2017) on Kairali TV and ‘Utan Panam’ on Mazhavil Manorama.

During a verbal exchange in the show with Mohanlal, Adoney was questioned about the meaning of his name. To which, Adoney responded that the Adoney was a Hebrew word, meaning ‘the ultimate of beauty, desire, and divinity.’

  

• Adoney is a faculty at an e-learning application called Emric Learning, which gives online classes on politics.

  

• He is a guest faculty at Baselius College, Kottayam, and gives guest lectures and seminars to students in history and politics at various institutions.

• Adoney considers his family his biggest support system and credits his grandmother and teachers on having him nourish his oratory skills.

• He is one of the members of the YouTube channel ‘The Argumentative Mallu,’ which was started in April 2020 and is composed of students from colleges across Kerala. The channel hosts a number of explainer videos on contemporary and socially relevant topics and aims at helping young people develop scientific temper and critical thinking skills.
