• Malashri began her professional career in the movies as a child artist.

• She has appeared in about 34 films as a child artist out of which in 26 films she has played the role of a boy.

• Her films as a child artist are Imayam and more.

• In an interview with Majaa Talkies, she said that she used to dress up like superstar Amitabh Bachchan since she was a young admirer, which led to her being cast as a boy actor in Neela Malargal and other films from 1979.

• She became one of the leading heroines of the Kannada film industry in the 1990s when she starred in a number of popular films, including Gajapathi Garvabhanga (1989), Policena Hendthi (1990), Kitturina Huli (1990), Rani Maharani (1990), Mruthyunjaya (1990), Hrudaya Haadithu (1991), Ramachaari (1991), Belli Kalungura (1992), Solillada Saradara (1993), and Gadibidi Aliya (1995).
