Some Lesser Known Facts About Dolphin Dwivedi

• Dolphin Dwivedi grew up in a family of singers in Mumbai.

  

• Her father named her “Dolphin” by combining her mother’s name ‘Dolly’ with her sister Arfin’s name.

• When she was 5 years old, she visited Madh, Mumbai, with her parents to watch auditions for the television series ‘Uljhan.’ There, actor Alok Nath spotted her and asked to say some dialogue. Even though she was scared of cameras, she did it, and she was picked for the role of the main lead.

• Even though her parents preferred her to pursue singing over acting, they allowed her to work in the series ‘Uljhan.’ After about a year, she took a break from acting to focus on her studies and practice singing.

• Later, she enrolled in Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal in Navi Mumbai to pursue a music course, but she could not finish it due to her school exams.

• Dolphin is a trained Kathak and Bharatanatyam dancer.

• She began playing instruments like harmonium and bongo from a young age. As a teenager, she performed alongside her parents in live shows, where they sang while she played bongo.

  

• She once worked as an aerobics instructor.

• Dolphin not only acted in the Haryanvi film ‘Ib Hum Na Juda Honge’ (2012) but also worked as a playback singer for one of its songs.

• She has also worked in many Bhojpuri and Rajasthani films.

• Dolphin has appeared in many Hindi-language television series like Sony Entertainment Television’s ‘Crime Patrol’ (2013-2020), Colors TV’s ‘Tu Aashiqui’ (2017-2018), &TV’s ‘Laal Ishq’ (2019), and Star Bharat’s ‘Baghin’ (2024).

  

• She is one of the actresses who never use glycerine to shed tears in any shot.

• She is often considered as Vidya Balan of the small screen.

• Dolphin loves travelling and often shares her travelling experiences on social media.

• Dolphin is a single mother who separated from her husband in 2016 due to compatibility issues. They filed for divorce in 2018, but due to her heart ailment, the process was delayed.
