Some Lesser Known Facts About Heidar Ali Ekrami

• Heidar Ali Ekrami is an Iranian Kabaddi player who played in the raider position for the team ‘U Mumba’ in the ninth and tenth seasons of the Pro Kabaddi League.

• Heidar Ali took part in the 2019 Junior World Kabaddi Championship, which was held in Kish City, Kish Island, Iran. He played for the Iran team and won the gold medal by defeating Kenya in the finals.

• In 2022, Heidar Ali was picked up by the Maharashtra-based Kabaddi team ‘U Mumba’ and was bought for 14 lakh rupees to play in the ninth season of the Pro Kabaddi League in which Heidar had an average raid strike rate of 50% and a tackle strike rate of 67%.
• In his first match in the Pro Kabaddi League, he also won the ‘game changer award’ and received a cash prize of 25 thousand rupees.
  

  

  

• In 2023, Heidar took part in the Asian Games held in the Xiaoshan District, China. His Iranian Kabaddi team won the second prize in the championship.

  

• In the same year, his contract with ‘U Mumba’ was renewed for the tenth season of the Pro Kabaddi League which was held in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Heidar Ali scored an average raid strike rate of 67% in the entire tournament.

  

• Heidar’s coach Javad Mousavi Nasab was his biggest inspiration for getting into the sport. The team ‘U Mumba’ was introduced to Heidar by another Iranian player whom Haider considers his mentor, Fazel Atrachali.
