Ramesh Deo was an Indian actor, who is known for playing a diverse range of roles in Marathi and Hindi films.

Since his father was a great fan of Prithviraj Kapoor, he once took young Ramesh along with him to the sets of a Prithviraj Kapoor’s film. At the last minute, a child artist didn’t show up so the director walked towards Ramesh and asked him ‘Kyu be tu kaam karega kya?’ (Would you act?). Ramesh agreed and thus he got his first break as a child artist.

He had done more than 350 movies. In three films, he played the lead role, and all failed at the box office.

He made television serials, produced several plays, acted in over 1000 stage performances, and ran a successful ad film agency.

Ramesh Deo’s chemistry with his wife Seema Deo resulted in their co-starring in almost 75 Marathi and Hindi films, mostly as husband and wife or lovers.
