Some Lesser Known Facts About Sunil Kumar

• Sunil Kumar grew up in Jammu.

• While he was in school, he participated in various sports like volleyball and basketball.

• Upto class 10, his height was normal like other boys in his class, but after class 10, his started increasing rapidly.

• In 2007, he started participating in handball tournaments. After winning various state and national championships in handball, he was selected by Jammu & Kashmir Police as a constable on sports quota in 2008.

  

• After 2008, his height increased a few more inches.

• He was then approached by FMW Delhi, a wrestling academy to train him in wrestling. In an interview, he shared that he often spends a few days in training in Delhi.

• He has played in various wrestling matches of Wrestling Dangal Ke Soorma.

• Someone then noticed him in one of his wrestling matches and offered him a TV commercial of ShopClues.

  

• He has appeared in a few more TV commercials.

• In 2019, he appeared in the Hindi web series ‘House Arrest.’

  

• In the same year, he participated in the WWE India Tryout.

  

• He has also acted in a few South Indian films like ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ (2024).

  

• In 2024, he played the role of Sarkata in the Hindi film ‘Stree 2.’ In the film, his face was created using Computer-generated imagery and his body shots were used in various scenes.

• In his leisure time, he enjoys travelling.

  

• He regularly works out at a gym to remain fit.

  

• Sunil Kumar’s shoe size is 19.

• He once shared that he consumes 3-4 litres of milk, 20-25 eggs, and chicken, along with his daily meal every day.
