• Rakhi was born into a conservative Marathi family. His father is a Marathi, while his mother is a Gujarati.

• According to her, she was a victim of child abuse and she had to face different gender-based taboos like standing out in balconies, going to beauty parlours, doing dance at public gatherings, etc.

• At the age of 10, she worked as a caterer at Tina Ambani‘s wedding.

• When she was 11 years old, her mother beat her and even cut her long hair; just because she attended a Dandia event and danced over there.

• As her family never allowed her to enter the entertainment world, she became rebellious and started approaching many producers; showcasing her dance and talent. After facing a chain of rejections, she chose the path of cosmetic surgery to enhance her looks and appearance.

• In December 2016, she had a horrific accident that made her go bald. During a show in Colombo, Sri Lanka, an excess of artificial fog on the stage tripped and hurt her head, due to which, she had to shave her hair to undergo an operation.

• In February 2023, Rakhi Sawant announced her separation from her second-husband Adil Khan Durrani. She accused Adil of having an extra-marital affair with a girl named Tanu Chandel. In a media conversation, she said,

• In an interview, Adil talked about his relationship with Rakhi Sawant, whom he met through a friend. He revealed that Rakhi lied about being single and her marriage to Ritesh Singh from the beginning of their relationship; however, in February 2022, she announced a divorce from Ritesh. According to Adil, he discovered voice notes from Rakhi’s phone to Ritesh, indicating that they spent a week in the United Kingdom and she received financial assistance from Ritesh. Adil further claimed that Rakhi used to beat him; he showed a video in which he could be seen having scratches and bruises on his body. In the interview, Adil said that when he suggested a secret divorce just like their marriage to Rakhi, she initially asked about financial compensation and later refused to give the divorce. • In January 2025, she disclosed through social media that she would marry a Pakistani actor and police officer named Dodi Khan. She also revealed that the marriage would occur in Pakistan, while the reception would happen in India. She further said that the couple would settle in Dubai after the marriage.
