• Mancheet Hooda developed an interest in fashion from an early age, inspired by his environment and cultural heritage.

• He completed his 12th grade under the Central Board of Secondary Education with 88% and his 10th grade in Art History, Criticism, and Conservation with a 9.0 CGPA.

• He earned a part-time diploma in Fashion and Apparel Design from Hunur Studio with a 9.3 CGPA.

• While studying at UCLan Cyprus, Mancheet served as President of the Indian Heritage and Traditions Society and was a member of the Student Senate.

  

• He also carried out dissertation research on the effectiveness of fashion marketing in branding and promotion during his time at UCLan Cyprus.

• After studying fashion marketing and technology, he gained early experience through internships and collaborations with leading designers.

• He completed a three-month on-site internship as a fashion stylist at House of Anita Dongre Limited in Chandigarh, India, from June 2019 to August 2019.

• In 2019, Mancheet was recognised as the Youngest Fashion Designer of India.

• That same year, Hooda launched ‘Cheet Deseno,’ a fashion brand built on exceptional product quality, a distinct colour palette, and customer-focused designs.

• Under his leadership, Cheet Deseno became known for unique designs, customisation, and a fusion of streetwear with Indian couture, attracting a loyal base of fashion-conscious buyers.

• Over the years, Cheet Deseno has grown its presence with multiple online stores, serving customers across various countries.

• In November 2020, Mancheet began working as a full-time visual merchandiser at Vedant Fashions Limited – Manyavar-Mohey in India, where he focused on retail and window displays. He worked there until April 2021.

• From April 2021 to April 2022, he worked as a full-time fashion designer at Colours n Tones in Ludhiana, Punjab, India.

• In April 2022, he began a part-time role as fashion director and editor at Ankush Designs in India, where he provided fashion content for social media and managed fashion shoots and direction until January 2023.

• Over time, he refined his work to focus on ethical fashion, sustainable practices, and innovative design.

• Hooda is widely recognised in international fashion for his creativity, entrepreneurial skills, and commitment to ethical, high-quality fashion.

• On 30 January 2024, Mancheet introduced ‘Mismaar Couture’ under Cheet Deseno, giving a modern touch to traditional designs in Indian ceremonial wear and showcasing local artisan work.

  

• The online launch of the Mismaar Couture collection connected the brand with customers worldwide. It remained dedicated to supporting local artisans and preserving cultural heritage in its designs.

  

• In January 2024, he also launched CHEET under Cheet Deseno, offering cruelty-free products and supporting sustainable fashion. The brand soon grew into an international streetwear brand across 7 countries, including Dubai, Canada, and Cyprus.

• Mancheet Hooda creates versatile outfits with timeless fabrics, such as breathable denim, eco-friendly linen, and vintage-inspired pieces. His brand CHEET blends sustainable materials with classic styles and modern craftsmanship.

• Mancheet has also designed reception outfits that combine modern elegance with cultural heritage. He once created a sequin merlot-colored mermaid gown for the bride alongside an Indo-Western Punjabi-style set with a turban for the groom.

• Hooda once designed a gown for model Lina Leonova inspired by the goddess Rati, using detailed rhinestones and meaningful symbols. This design reflects his focus on craftsmanship and storytelling through fashion.

  

• Mancheet has worked as a stylist for Punjabi music videos and Bollywood productions.

• His representative, Petra Pikis, brings creative vision and expertise to showcase his work in fashion and film.

• Mancheet Hooda has been a jury member for Mr. and Miss Punjab, organised by Pure Diamond Crown in Ludhiana. He has also participated in Lucknow Fashion Week.

• He was once nominated as the youngest fashion designer at the Chicago Fashion Festival, an international event.

• At the Cyprus Fashion Film Festival, he also walked the red carpet and presented a goddess-inspired look decorated with seashells collected from Aphrodite Beach, symbolically linking it to the goddess’s mythological birthplace.

  

• Mancheet has been featured on the cover of Fashion Lifestyles Update magazine in collaboration with Lux & Aura. The cover story, titled ‘Story of Hard Work: Mancheet Hooda,’ highlights his journey and achievements.

  

• His designs have been featured in Manila Scene Publication, a daily magazine in the Philippines, and the Malaysian magazine Saffron & Sage on page 21.

  

• Mancheet has a phobia of animal hair, hairy soft toys, and smoking, which can make it difficult for him to breathe when exposed to them.
