• Azam Khan wanted to become a cricketer since childhood.

  

• He made his List A debut in the 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam One Day Cup in which he played for Pakistan Television.

• On 5 March 2019, he made his T20 debut in the Pakistan Super League, where he played for Quetta Gladiators.

• He was selected by the cricket team Galle Gladiators for the first edition of the Lanka Premier League in October 2020.

• He made his first-class debut in the 2020-21 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy for Sindh on 26 December 2020.

• In August 2021, he was acquired by Barbados Royals for the 2021 Caribbean Premier League.

  

• He was also named in the squad of Pakistan for the 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in September 2021. However, he was later replaced by Sarfaraz Ahmed.

• In December 2021, he was acquired by Islamabad United for the 2022 Pakistan Super League. He helped his team to win against Quetta Gladiators by scoring 65 runs in 35 balls.

• In July 2022, Azam Khan played in the third edition of the Lanka Premier League for Galle Gladiators, where he scored 30 runs in five innings.

• In November 2022, he was selected by Khulna Tigers for the 2022-23 Bangladesh Premier League. He hit his maiden century in the sixth match of the league by scoring 109 not-out off 58 balls.

  

• He was appeared as a guest in season 3 of the Pakistani Ramadan reality TV game show ‘Jeeto Pakistan League’ in 2022. The TV show was aired on the channel ARY Digital.

• In 2022, he participated in the adventure-action TV reality show ‘The Ultimate Muqabla,’ which aired on ARY Digital.

  

• In 2023, he received a Golden Visa from Abu Dhabi.

  

• In 2024, he was heavily slammed by the cricket fans and called ‘Best Example of Nepotism’ after his poor performance against England in the T20 World Cup. He was dismissed for a duck after facing 5 deliveries and also missed a few easy catches while fielding.
