• Sidharth Shukla was a well known Indian actor and model who rose to fame with his role as ‘Shivraj Shekhar’ in “Balika Vadhu” (2008).

• Sidharth Shukla was born into a modest family in Mumbai. His family belonged to Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh.

• Sidharth was inclined towards sports since his childhood. He represented his school in many Tennis and Football competitions.

• In his college days, he wanted to be an interior designer, but he changed his line as he found more scope in modelling.

• While he started his career as a model, his father passed away due to a lung infection.

• He participated in ‘Gladrags Manhunt and Mega Model Contest’ as a contest in 2004. The famous Indian TV actor Abhinav Shukla was also a contestant in the same contest.

• He became the first Asian to win the World’s Best Model contest in Turkey in 2004.

  

• He was featured as a model in the music video ‘Resham Ka Rumal’ featuring Mona Lisa. The song was sung by the veteran Indian singer Ila Arun.

• In 2008, he made his acting debut in the Hindi TV serial “Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na” as ‘Shubh Ranawat.’ He then appeared in the TV serials like “Jaane Pehchaane Se… Ye Ajnabbi” (2009) and “Love U Zindagi” (2019).

  

• He received immense popularity after playing the role of ‘Shivraj Shekhar’ in Colors TV’s popular serial “Balika Vadhu.”

• In 2013, he participated in the dance reality show “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6.”

• Sidharth made his debut in Bollywood in 2014 by playing the role of ‘Angad Bedi’ in the film “Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania.” His performance was well appreciated in the film.

• While he was in Bigg Boss 13 house in 2019, he became friends with the Punjabi singer Shehnaaz Kaur Gill. They became good friends in the house, and later, the rumours of their affair started.   The actor, who passed away due to a heart attack on September 2, had complained of uneasiness hours before his death. The actor came home at around 9:30 pm after which he started feeling uneasy. His mother and Shehnaaz both were at home at that time. First they gave him nimbu paani and later ice cream to make him feel better, but it did not help him. Sidharth still complained of uneasiness and his mother and Shehnaaz asked him to take rest. Sidharth on the other hand could not sleep hence asked Shehnaaz to be with him and just pat his back. Around 1:30 am, Sidharth slept in Shehnaaz’ lap and the latter then slowly moved away. She too slept and around 7 am when she woke up, she saw Sidharth sleeping in the same position without any movement and when she tried to wake him up, he did not move. Shehnaaz panicked and rushed from 12th floor to 5th floor where his family lived. She informed Sidharth’s sister and they called their family doctor who on arrival informed that Sidharth was no more.”

• After the demise of Sidharth, the news came to the media that Shukla and Shehnaaz had planned to get married in December 2021. They had booked the wedding venue at JW Mariott, Mumbai. Reportedly, they booked an apartment in Mumbai where they planned to shift after their marriage. ^[9]India Times

• His last appearance on TV was on the dance reality show ‘Dance Deewane 3’ in which he appeared as a guest along with Shehnaaz Kaur Gill.

• In May 2022, the last song that Sidharth worked on ‘Jeena Zaroori Hai’ was released online. The song also featured Bigg Boss 15 contestant Vishal Kotian. While some viewers were happy to see Sidharth onscreen for one more time, others criticised the makers for not seeking permission from Sidharth’s family to release the song. Reportedly, the song was shot in 2019.
