• In 2003, while studying in class 10th, Rani got the first offer to act in a film in her career.

  

• She started her acting career in 2004 with the role of ‘Rani’ in the Bhojpuri film- ‘Sasura Bada Paisawala.’

• While shooting for her first film, she got the name “Rani” by the film’s director, Ajay Sinha to hide her Muslim identity; as in many scenes of the film, she had to shoot in the temple of Lord Shiva.

• In 2013, she was declared the Best Actress of the year at the 6th Bhojpuri Awards for her performance in the Bhojpuri film, Nagin.

• In 2017, she won the Best Actress Award at Dada Saheb Phalke Foundation.

The Bhojpuri actress said that Sajid Khan sexually harassed her when she had gone to audition for his film Himmatwala. In an interview with Aaj Tak, Rani claimed that during the auditions of his 2013 film Himmatwala, Sajid spoke to her inappropriately and asked her to tell him about her breast size and how often she had sex. She said,
