Some Lesser Known Facts About Jack P. Shepherd

• Jack P. Shepherd grew up in Leeds, Yorkshire, England.

• He began his acting career at the age of 11 by playing the role of Carl Smith in the episode “Learning the Game” of the British drama television series Where the Heart Is.

• He then appeared in the Yvonne’s Story episode of the TV series Clocking Off (2000).

• In April 2000, Jack replaced Thomas Ormson in the role of David Platt in the British Television soap opera Coronation Street. He earned praise for his role and won several awards for his portrayal of David Platt.

  

• In 2008, Shepherd appeared in Ghosthunting with Coronation Street on the Isle of Man

• In 2010, he appeared as David Platt in an episode of the soap opera The Jeremy Kyle Show.

• In 2011, Jack participated in the British entertainment quiz show The Big Quiz. He was a team captain in the show.

• In 2019, Jack began a podcast called Sofa Cinema Club with friends and co-stars Ben Price and Colson Smith.

• He is also a contributor to the topical show Grouchy Young Men, a spin-off of the show Grumpy Old Men, on the British version of Comedy Central.

• Besides doing television, Jack is also active in theatre work and has appeared in a production of West Side Story as part of Stage 84 The Yorkshire School of Performing Arts. He has also appeared in Oliver! at Bradford’s Alhambra Theatre.

• Jack has made guest appearances in various entertainment shows, including This Morning,  Loose Women, Celebrity Juice, Xposé, Lorraine, All Star Mr & Mrs, Daybreak, Tipping Point, The Chase, All Star Family Fortunes, Keep It in the Family, You’re Back in the Room, Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, Good Morning Britain, and Saturday Mash-Up!.

• Jack also runs a drama academy named 13 Performing Arts School, which holds classes in Manchester and Huddersfield and is attended by former Coronation Street co-star Harry McDermott.

• In 2025, he entered the house of the reality TV show Celebrity Big Brother series 24 as a contestant. The show was hosted by AJ Odudu and Will Best and aired on ITV.

  

• He is a supporter of the Leeds United Football Club.

• He dated Lauren Shippey for fifteen years, from 2002 to 2017. With Lauren, Jack has two children.

• While he was still in a relationship with Shippey, Jack had a one-night stand with Sammy Milewski, who gave birth to his son, Greyson Milewski in January 2011. Greyson suffers from alternating hemiplegia of childhood (AHC).

• Although Jack initially denied being father to Greyson, he began paying child support for him after a DNA test proved his paternity. However, he has never made any contact with Greyson Milewski.

• After his breakup with Lauren Shippey, Jack moved to live with his co-star Colson Smith for a while.

• Jack Shepherd met the fashion influencer Hanni Treweek for the first time on the sets of Coronation Street. However, it was an encounter at a wedding for a mutual friend that sparked their romance. In an interview, while talking about it, Jack said,
  

  Then our mutual friends got married and we were both guests at the wedding. We got chatting, I made Hanni laugh, we had a couple of drinks and we flirted. That was it.”

• The couple dated for around six years before Jack got down on one knee during a romantic safari in Tanzania. The couple got engaged on 5 June 2024.

• Although it was said that Jack participated in the reality TV show Celebrity Big Brother to help with his wedding cost with Hanni Treweek, she was nowhere to be seen as Jack made his entrance into the house.

• Jack had got two hair transplants in 2019, after suffering from hair loss for a decade.

• He was initially credited on Coronation Street as Jack Shepherd. However, after gaining popularity on the show, he added his middle initial P. to his name to avoid confusion with the well-known British actor named Jack Shepherd.

• Jack once made a joke on social media about the Manchester Dogs’ Home fire, in which 43 dogs died. However, he later apologised for his comments and also donated money to the dogs’ home.
