Some Lesser Known Facts About Gavie Chahal

• Gavie Chahal is an Indian actor and model. In the ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ film series, he played the role of Captain Abrar (an ISI agent).

• Till class 7, he did his schooling in his village. Later, his family moved to Patiala, and he completed his schooling there.

  

• He participated in various kabbadi, basketball, and volleyball matches in his college. He has even represented kabbadi at the national level and basketball at the state level.

• During his college days, he was even the captain of the North Zone Cultural Centre bhangra team.

• After graduating, he served in the Punjab Police for a couple of years.

• Gavie Chahal won the Mr Punjab title in 2000.

• He has appeared as a model in photoshoots and print advertisements for many brands including Volkswagen, Tata Motors, Gili Diamonds, Prestige, Radio Mirchi, and IDBI Bank.

• He has been featured in TV commercials for brands like Hyundai Santro, Classic Diamond Jewellers, and Axis Bank.

• He has acted in various Punjabi films like ‘Mehndi Wale Hath’ (2006), ‘Majajan’ (2008), ‘Pinky Moge Wali’ (2012), and ‘Saada Jawai NRI’ (2013).

  

• He has also acted in various Hindi TV serials such as ‘Mohe Rang De’ (2008; Colors TV), ‘Maharaja Ranjit Singh’ (2010; DD National), ‘Mrs. Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein’ (2011; Zee TV), and ‘RadhaKrishn’ (2018; Star Bharat).

  

• In 2013, he judged the reality Punjabi TV show ‘Big Fame Star’ in 2013. The show was aired on Spark TV.

• Gavie has acted in a few Hindi films such as ‘Hum Sab Ullu Hain’ (2015), ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ (2017), ‘Yeh Hai India’ (2017), ‘Haunted Hills’ (2020), and ‘Tiger 3’ (2023).

  

• He has appeared as a judge in various pageants such as Mr Punjab 2017 and Miss PTC Punjabi 2022.

  

• Gavie has been featured in more than 60 Punjabi music videos. Some of his Punjabi music videos are “Aaja Tujhe Pyar Karu” (2017; by Shakti Rajpoot & Neha Sharma), “Kissani Yodhe” (2021; by Gavie Chahal), and “Escobar” (2022; by Jaggi Amargarh).

  

• He has started his film production company named Gavie Chahal Films. He also has a YouTube channel with the same name.

  

• He loves playing cricket, and he has participated in various seasons of the Celebrity Cricket League (Punjab De Sher team) and Box Cricket League (Punjab Royal Patiyali team).

  

• He has provided financial aid to various social welfare campaigns. He also supported the farmers’ protest in Punjab in 2021.
