Some Lesser Known Facts About Manila Nazzaro

• Manila Nazzaro was born in a small village in Foggia, Italy.

• After attending high school at Notarangelo-Rosati Technical Institute, she enrolled in the faculty of medicine and surgery at the University of Chieti, Italy. In an interview, she revealed that she wanted to be a cardiologist.

• However, she didn’t complete her studies and quit university to pursue her artistic career.

• In 1996, she participated for the first time in the 57th edition of Miss Italia. She partcipated as Miss Puglia. However, she did not manage to win the title.

• In 1999, during her academic years at the Chieti University, she became an honorary member of the SISM (Italian Secretariat of Medical Students).

• In 1999, she decided to try her luck again in the Miss Italia beauty pageant. She finally won the title of the most beautiful woman in Italy. In addition to winning the national title of Miss Italia, she also won the title of Miss Cinema and 2nd place in Miss Elegance.

  

• After winning the Miss Italia title, she became the face of various advertising campaigns and television promotions.

• During this period, Manila also began to study acting. She joined Isabella Del Bianco Theatre, at the Teatro Azione in Rome.

• In between 2000 and 2003, she bagged three plays titled ‘Casa di bambola’ by Henrik Ibsen, ‘Tre sorelle’ by Anton Čechov, and ‘Antigone’ by Jean Anouilh.

• In 2004, she bagged a theatre play titled Il paradiso può attendere, by Harry Segall, in which she played her debut lead female role.

• In 2005, Manila Nazzar was presenter of the interactive TV Music Box Italy ( Italian music television channel). In the same year, she became the face of Alitalia- An Italian Airline Company.

• Manila married her long-time football player boyfriend, Francesco Cozza, in 2005. The couple had two sons. However, in 2017, they separated after 12 years of marriage. In an interview, Manila shared that the reason for their separation was that his husband cheated on him with another girl.

• In 2007, she returned to the theatre and appeared in the play Bed and Breakfast.

• In 2009, Nazzar co-hosted ‘Miss Italia Beauty Pageant Show. In the same year, she was one of the reporters for the Italian Game Show ‘The Heart Game’, streamed on Rai 1.

•  In 2010, she was one of the commentators of the nineteenth edition of La partita del cuore (a football event), hosted by Fabrizio Frizzi and Milly Carlucci, streamed on Rai 1.

• From 2014 to 2017, she hosted an entertainment TV show titled Mezzogiorno in famiglia, streamed on Rai 2.

• In an interview, Manila revealed that in 2014, she was diagnosed with uterine cancer (at an early stage) and Basedow-Graves disease (autoimmune hyperthyroidism).

• Since 2017, Manila has been hosting many radio shows on different channels, such as Bread, Love and Zeta Weekend (2017); aired on Radio Zeta, #SocialCorner (2018-2022); aired on RTL 102.5, W Italy (2022); aired on RTL 102.5, and Italian Morning (2023); aired on Rai Radio Tutta Italiana.

• In 2019 and 2020, Manila appeared as a judge in the 80th and 81st editions of the Miss Italian Beauty Pageant.

  

• Manila, along with her ex-boyfriend, Lorenzo Amoruso (Sports Manager, Footballer), participated in the eighth edition of Temptation Island (2022). She also got pregnant with her Lorenzo, but due to some complication in her pregnancy, she suffered an abortion. In 2023, she separated from him.

  

• In September 2021, Manila Nazzar participated in Grande Fratello VIP Edition 6 (the Italian version of the reality television franchise Big Brother). She spent 173 days inside the house and was eliminated in the semi final of the show with only 38% votes.

  

• In an interview, Manila revealed that she had handed over the manuscript of her autobiography, Cintura rosa di sorveglianza (Pink Belt of Survival), to the publisher before going to the Grande Fratello VIP. On 6 October 2021, her autobiography was published.

  

• In 2023, after her elimination from Grande Fratello VIP (2022), she returned to radio and started hosting a show titled W L’Italia on RTL 102.5.

• In late 2023, she started dating Stefano Oradei. In May 2024, they got married. Stefano is 6 years younger than her.

  

• In April 2025, Manila participated with her husband, Stefano Oradei, in the first edition of the Italian reality show The Couple – Una vittoria per due, streamed on Canale 5.

  

• Manila has appeared as a model for various brands of clothes, footwear, accessories and makeup such as Valentino GQ, Milano Collezioni, Truelash, Queen Helena Shoes, and Roberta Biagi.
