Some Lesser Known Facts About Kerianne Flynn

• Kerianne Flynn started her career as a human resource professional, specialising in personnel management, employee relations and organisation development.

• She later worked in a senior management position for several prominent companies, including French Connection and The Limited.

• She has worked for several social causes and non-profit organisations, such as Coalition for the Homeless (member of the Art Advisory Board since 2011) and the Children’s Health Fund (in Women’s Leadership Committee since 2015).

• In addition, she is a member of the board of trustees at The Allen Stevenson School and The High Line (Plinth Committee).

• She also worked for Monday Night Hospitality (All Souls NYC’s outreach feeding program for disadvantaged adults) for 2 years.

• She founded the production company New Port Films in 2014 and has served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) since 2016.

• She co-produced the documentary This Changes Everything (2018) and the film Lilly (2024).

  

• She was a member of the first all-female crew of the Blue Origin NS-31 sub-orbital space flight mission launched on 14 April 2025 from West Texas. The other crew members were Katy Perry, Gayle King, Aisha Bowe, Lauren Sanchez, and Amanda Nguyen. The capsule passed the Kármán line (the imaginary boundary line considered as the edge of space at 100 kilometres (62 miles) above sea level), and landed back in 10 minutes and 21 seconds.

  

• Kerianne was the last person to step out of the launch vehicle, New Shepard NS-31 (named after Alan Shepard, the first American to travel to space).

  

• In the NS-31 mission patch, a film reel symbolised Kerianne’s interest in filmmaking and storytelling.

• She likes to collect contemporary art.
