Anjana was raised in Sharjah United Arab Emirates, Dubai. She completed her schooling from Dubai.

She is a trained classical dancer. She started her training when she was 7 years old and has won many prizes at various dance competitions.

She started her career as a model. While completing her graduation, she participated in college’s modelling shows and photoshoots.

In 2015, she appeared in the short film Muse (2015), which received several awards worldwide and was also shortlisted for the National Film Award for Best Short Fiction Film.

She directed a Hindi music video Rimjhim Gire Sawan by Simran Sehgal and then later in 2016, she featured in a Hindi music video Sun le Zara.

In 2022, she played a supporting role in the Tamil film Achcham Madam Naanam Payirppu. She portrayed the character of Rathi in the film.
