• Babloo Prithiveeraj is an Indian actor who is known for his work in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam films. He gained recognition for playing negative roles such as ‘Prakash’ in the Telugu-language film ‘Pelli Pandiri’ (1997).

• After debuting in the Tamil film industry in 1971, Babloo appeared as a child artist in many other Tamil films including ‘Dr. Siva’ (1975), ‘Naalai Namadhe’ (1975), and ‘Naan Vazhavaippen’ (1979). In 2006, he played the role of ‘Kumar’ in the romantic drama film ‘Boys and Girls.’ He appeared in various other films such as Asad in ‘Vaaranam Aayiram’ (2008) and Yoganand in ‘Neerthirai’ (2019).

  

• Babloo has worked in various Telugu films. He played the role of ‘Prashanth’ in a supernatural film titled ‘Devullu’ in 2000. In the same year, he appeared in other films including ‘Bachi’ and ‘Sanchalanam.’ In 2019, he played the role of ‘Jaipal Reddy’ in the biographical film ‘NTR: Mahanayakudu,’ which was based on the real-life and political career of actor N. T. Rama Rao. Babloo appeared in many other Telugu films such as ‘Marshal’ (2019), ‘Balamevvadu’ (2022), and ‘Skanda: The Attacker’ (2023).

• Babloo has earned recognition in both Tamil and Telugu television industries. From 1998 to 1999, he appeared as ‘Ramany’ in the Tamil language sitcom ‘Ramany vs Ramany,’ which aired on Sun TV. He played the role of ‘Gokul’ in the Tamil-language soap opera ‘Gokulathil Seethai’ from 2008 to 2009. • On 5 October 2006, Prithiveeraj, Beena, and their son, Ahed, were stopped by security officials at the Kempegowda International Airport in Karnataka as they believed that Ahed, an eleven-year-old specially-abled, could be a threat to other passengers on the flight. When the matter was brought to a CISF officer, he defended the officials and stated that they were merely following the rule of not allowing “mentally retarded” passengers as the international civil aviation rules tell so. ^[5]Hindustan Times

• In 2014, Babloo established ‘Cha Republic,’ a bubble tea shop located at 5, 2nd Avenue in Besant Nagar, Chennai. According to him, he drew inspiration for the shop from a similar outlet that he noticed in Malaysia while driving by.

• In 2016, an audio message from Prithiveeraj went viral on the internet, where he talked about overcoming a phase of suicidal thoughts. It, however, was later found out that the audio clip originated from one of his short films. Prithiveeraj soon addressed the situation in an interview and clarified that he had sent the clip for correction on WhatsApp, but it was leaked. He mentioned that the clip served as a medium to encourage people worldwide to stay strong during challenging times. • Babloo runs a YouTube channel, ‘King Prithiveeraj,’ where he shares content related to his work, personal life, and various interests including travelling and cooking. In 2022, he got a silver YouTube Plaque (also YouTube Play Button).

• Babloo prioritizes fitness and often goes to the gym. He engages in high-intensity workouts.

  

• His love for animals, especially horses, is evident through his social media posts.

  

• Prithiveeraj is fond of shoes and has a collection of them. According to him, he prefers wearing gym shoes over casual ones.

  

• In 2022, Babloo and Sheetal sparked dating rumours that gained widespread attention online. The couple later confirmed their relationship in an interview, where they addressed the challenges and criticism they faced due to their age difference. In the interview, the duo disclosed that they first met at a restaurant in Bengaluru. Sheetal, who was initially unaware of Prithiveeraj’s profession, talked about her relationship and acknowledged Prithiveeraj’s connection with his ex-wife, Beena, and his commitment to caring for her and their son, Ahed. While dismissing the age factor, Prithiveeraj praised Sheetal’s maturity and compatibility.
