According to him, a lady named Menaka arranged the deal of Rs. 6.5 lakh between Reddy’s team and the CBFC officials. In the video he said,
  

  We had applied online to CBFC Mumbai. Due to technical issues, we got delayed. On Monday, when my team members visited the CBFC office, they were asked to pay ₹6.5 lakh— ₹3 lakh for watching the film and ₹3.5 lakh to give a certificate on time. The deal was done by a lady called Menaka, who approached our team member. We have recorded everything. We had no option but to pay up, as much was at stake.”

  He further asserted that the money was transferred to two different bank accounts. After the issue came to light, the Information and Broadcasting (I&B) Ministry took cognizance of the matter and ordered an inquiry. ^[1]Hindustan Times
