• Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary is an Indian politician of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). On 25 August 2022, he made the headlines after he was appointed as the BJP’s president of Uttar Pradesh.

• After completing his formal education, Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary joined Krishak Upkarak Inter College, where he worked as a manager.

• In 1989, Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary left his job as a manager to join the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP).

• Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary’s affiliation with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) began after he joined the party in 1991.

• Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary moved up the hierarchy of the party and was appointed as the party’s district executive in 1993.

• In 1999. the BJP gave Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary a ticket to contest the Lok Sabha elections against the Samajwadi Party’s leader Mulayam Singh Yadav from the Sambhal constituency, where Bhupendra lost the elections to Mulayam by a margin of 50% of the votes.

• Several sources claim that Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary was appointed as BJP’s state president because he, as a Panchayati Raj minister, built approximately two crore toilets for the public throughout Uttar Pradesh. • According to some media sources, after the farmers’ protests, the BJP became unpopular in western parts of UP, especially among the farmers who belonged to the Jat community.
