• Grant DuBose has liked playing football since childhood and has played for his school team.

• He got only one offer to play college football from Miles College so he accepted it.

• During his freshman year, he played 10 games and scored 1 touchdown with 104 yards.

• During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the season was suspended at his college. He later worked 4 jobs, loading train cars at a manufacturing plant, bagging groceries at Walmart, at a commissary on a military base, and delivering dinners for DoorDash.

• He pursued a professional career in football and entered the transfer portal.

• A childhood friend, James Foster, was a backup QB at the University of North Carolina (UNC) and helped him secure a tryout. The coaches liked his performance in the three routes: a hitch, a dig and a go, and they selected him.

• He played for the UNC in 2021 and 2022 and finished with 126 receptions for 1,684 yards with 15 scores in 24 games. He finished college as the 3rd in touchdowns in the team’s history.

  

• In the 2023 USFL Draft, the Birmingham Stallions selected him in the seventh round (55th overall).
