• He started receiving training in cricket from a very young age, and by the time he was 11 years old, he used to play so well that he was asked to join the seniors at the nets.

• On 20 May 2015, Nikhil Kumaraswamy got engaged to KCN Mohan’s eldest daughter, Swathi M Gowda. However, they later called off their engagement due to misunderstandings.

• Nikhil started his career as an actor in 2016 with the Kannada-Telugu bilingual film “Jaguar” in which he played the role of ‘Krishna.’ The film earned him a SIIMA Award for Best Debutant Actor (Male) – Kannada.

• In 2019, Nikhil played the role of ‘Abhimanyu’ in the Kannada film “Kurukshetra.”

  

• Nikhil started his political career in 2019 by contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Mandya District as a JDS candidate.

  

• It was considered a safe bastion for the Congress-JDS alliance.

• However, he lost the elections from Sumanlatha Ambareesh with a margin of 128,725 votes.
