Some Lesser Known Facts About Adam David

• Adam David grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA.

• David attended an alternative school for students with Emotional Impairment (EI) in Florida, where he received ESE (Exceptional Student Education).

• As a child, Adam was inspired by his uncle’s singing and naturally found himself drawn to music.

• At 8, he started playing the guitar for the first time and would often create simple tunes just for fun.

  

• As a teen, Adam used songwriting to express his emotions, often writing raw and emotional lyrics. Over time, he looked up to music icons like Ray Charles, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, and Jimi Hendrix for inspiration.

• Adam later began performing at local venues in Florida and eventually toured across the U.S., playing at big festivals like SXSW and SunFest.

  

• In March 2014, Adam released his first EP featuring four tracks: Happiness, Tennessee Honey, Furnace of Love, and Too Long.

• David once struggled with drug addiction, especially cocaine. At one point, he even smuggled cocaine, packed in 8-ball portions, in his shoes through airport security without getting caught.

• Adam later entered a rehab program through MusiCares, which supports musicians in need. He completed a two-week treatment and began his recovery journey.

• Adam believes in contributing to society. He often performs at rehab centres, using his music and story to encourage others on their recovery journey.

• In 2025, Adam participated in the singing reality show ‘The Voice 27,’ which aired on NBC and streamed on Peacock.

  

• During The Voice’s blind auditions, Adam sang Peter Frampton’s “Baby, I Love Your Way” and earned the only chair turn from coach Michael Bublé, who praised Adam’s control and unique voice.

• Adam opened up about his long-time struggle with impostor syndrome during the show.

• During the competition, he released the single ‘Savior,’ a track he began writing while going through his battle with drug addiction.

  

• On 20 May 2025, Adam David was crowned the winner of The Voice Season 27. He won $100,000 and a record deal with Republic Records, part of Universal Music Group.
