Some Lesser Known Facts About Jean-Thomas Jobin
Jean-Thomas Jobin was raised by his parents in a middle-class household.

Jean-Thomas Jobin’s first experience in humour was at his school Séminaire St-François when he used to write short stories for the student newspaper. It was first and foremost writing that drew him to humour.
In 2000, after completing his university training, Jean took part in a competition for amateur videographers and was awarded the public prize.
After winning the prize in 2000, he gave an audition for the National School of Humor in Montreal and was accepted by the jury to attend a course in Humourous Creation.
After completing his Humourous Creation course, Jean started performing at live shows around Quebec and he was also part of the 2000 Montreal comedy festival named ‘Just for Laughs.’
In the same year, Jean-Thomas Jobin wrote some absurd columns for a private Quebec commercial radio station named ‘CKMF-FM.’
In 2001, Jean-Thomas in collaboration with the Quebec-based comedy duo Les Denis Drolet started an absurd comedy show titled ‘Show Absurde.’
In 2001, he played supporting roles in the Quebec comedy television series titled ‘Catherine’ and ‘Le Plateau.’ Both the comedy series were broadcast on Radio-Canada.
In 2005, Jean-Thomas presented his first-ever one-man show.
In 2009, Jean-Thomas Jobin became the spokesperson for Canada’s one of the largest insurance and wealth management groups named ‘Industrielle Alliance.’
In the same year, he started a new web series titled ‘Père poule’ which he wanted to develop into a television series later but the same did not get executed.
In 2010, Jean-Thomas Jobin presented his second one-man show titled ‘Soulever des Corneliu.’

In 2013, being an acrophobic, Jean took part in the first season of the Canadian TV reality show titled ‘Le Grand Saut.’
In 2021, Jean-Thomas took part in the first season of ‘Big Brother Célébrités’ which was the celebrity version of the international reality show ‘Big Brother’ and he was declared as the winner of the season.
He is known for his ‘Abusurd Humour’ which is a form of humour that intentionally violates reasons for social causes for the purpose of provoking laughter.
In 2025, Jean-Thomas Jobin took part in the fifth season of ‘Big Brother Célébrités’ which was the celebrity version of the international reality show ‘Big Brother.’ The TV series was telecast on the Noovo and Vrak TV channels.
