  • Mostafa Khamenei is the first son of Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran.

  • During his childhood, when his father, Ali Khamenei was arrested by the National Security and Intelligence Organization (SAVAK), he saw his father being beaten by them and told his brothers the truth.
  • He participated in the Iran-Iraq War that stretched from 1980-1988, particularly in Badr Operation in March 1984. In March 1984, he went missing when a missile hit the industrial and oil centre of Al-Dura in Baghdad, but he was later found safe.
  • He later went to Qom where he became a cleric. He teaches seminary sciences/lessons (Makasib and Kifayah) in Qom.
