- Gaurav came to Mumbai in 2008. In the beginning of his career, he featured in a few advertisements.
- In 2015, before he became popular as an actor Gaurav used to work as an RJ in a radio company in Mirchi Plus.
- He has appeared in many web series like Madras Cafe (2013), A Billion Colour Sky (2016), Inside Edge Season 2, Crash Course (2022), Chacha Vidhayak Hai Hamare with Zakir Khan and Scoop (2023) headlined by Karishma Tanna.
- There was a time in his career that he called as the darkest period because he was not offered good roles. So, he thought of quitting acting and going back to being RJ at a radio company. But later he auditioned and bagged the series Crash Course (2022) as K.D sir.
