• Brigadier Helen Mary Roberts was raised in the Punjab Province of Pakistan.

• After completing her schooling in the science stream, she appeared for a national-level examination to join the Army Medical College in Rawalpindi.

• In 1993, she began her medical and military training at the college, passing out from there as a second lieutenant in 1998.

• She has attended numerous military courses in Pakistan and abroad.

• Helen has also held important posts in areas such as Balochistan, Sindh, and Jammu and Kashmir.

• She rose to become one of the senior pathologists in the Pakistan Army. She also played a vital role in establishing numerous pathology labs, at par with the Western military labs, in Pakistan.

• In June 2024, she became the first Pakistani Christian woman to be elevated to the rank of Brigadier.

• As per sources, she was appointed by the Pakistan Army to post to calm down the Christian protestors after a Muslim mob lynched a Christian businessman on the charges of blasphemy in Rawalpindi.
