Some Lesser Known Facts About Anushree

• Anushree was born into a Tulu-speaking family in Mangalore, Karnataka.

• Her parents separated when she was young. She and her brother were raised by their mother. In an interview, Anushree mentioned that since then, her father had not contacted them.

  

• Till the fifth grade, she completed her schooling in St. Thomas Bangalore, and then shifted to Narayana Guru School in Mangalore.

• She returned to Bangalore after completing her pre-university education, during which she began receiving offers to host television shows.

• Anushree began her career in television as an anchor on a phone-in music show called Tele Anthyakshari, which aired on Namma TV, a television channel based in Mangalore.

• Later, she became an anchor on ETV Kannada’s television show Demandappo Demandu, which gained her popularity and became one of the highest-paid anchors in Kannada.

• In 2013, Anushree participated in the reality show Bigg Boss Kannada Season 1. She completed 76 days in the Big Boss’s house.

  

• Anushree hosted several stage shows such as Suvarna Film Awards, Filmfare Awards, TV9 Film Awards, Zee Music Awards, SIIMA Awards, Celebrity Cricket League, and featured in prominent shows like Comedy Khiladigalu and Twenty-Twenty Comedy Cup, Kuniyona Baara, and others.

• In an interview, Anushree mentioned that film director Shashank had approached her for a role in his hit movie Moggina Manasu. However, she did not accept the offer as she was too hesitant to act in films in her early days of acting.

• She started taking acting seriously after coming back from Bigg Boss Kannada Season 1 in 2013.

• In 2015, Anushree bagged her role in the film with Benkipatna. She has performed various small roles before being given the lead role.

• In an interview, Anushree mentioned that she is a die-hard fan of actress Kalpana and watching her films has become a part of her life.

• On August 28, 2025, Anushree came into the limelight when her marriage pictures went viral. She married a businessman, Roshan, in a traditional ceremony held at a private resort on the outskirts of Bengaluru. The wedding was attended by close family, friends, and several prominent figures from the Kannada film industry.

  

• Anushree is an avid dog lover, and once had a dog named Jojo.
