Some Lesser Known Facts About Arvind Krishna

• Arvind is not just an actor but also a professional basketball player and entrepreneur. Arvind played basketball at the University, State, and National levels.

• He has played in an international 3×3 basketball tournament, India’s first FIBA-recognized professional basketball league. Arvind has won several sports awards as a basketball player. He was named MVP (most valuable player) of many tournaments.

• He is the only Indian basketball athlete with a record for the highest standing and running vertical leaps in India.

• In an interview, Arvind revealed that once, while playing basketball in his college, he met with a serious injury, so he had to leave basketball for 14 years. In 2018, he got a call from the FIBA-endorsed professional Indian Basketball League to play again. Although he suffered injuries in the first few years, but he continued his game.

  

• Arvind Krishna spent his early life in New Delhi and then moved to Europe to pursue higher studies. He returned to India to do his engineering.

• Arvind married his longtime girlfriend in August 2012. He met with her in his college, JNTU, Hyderabad. His wife works as a social worker and investment banker.

• After college, Arvind worked at the Satyam School of Leadership on the Leadership Development team. He also pursued a certificate course on Global Business Leadership from Harvard Business School and Universitas 21 (U 21) Global.

• Arvind Krishna has also done specialized training in Appreciative Inquiry and is a certified facilitator for the Mobile Team Challenge, both of which are programs developed by Cherri Torres and the Mobile Team Challenge.

• In an interview, Arvind once revealed that his father is an IAS officer, so he wanted him to follow in his footsteps, but later Arvind convinced his family to let him pursue his career in sports and films.

• Arvind once revealed that acting in Telugu films was a completely out-of-the-blue decision for him because he didn’t even speak Telugu properly. He started learning Telugu after he came back to India for his engineering from JNTU, Hyderabad.

• Krishna went to Anupam Kher’s Actor Prepares, Andheri (West), Mumbai, and Asha Chandra’s Film Acting School Juhu, Mumbai, to learn acting.

• During an interview, he once revealed that when he was in acting school in Mumbai, he met filmmaker and director Dasari Narayan Rao. He considers Dasari Narayan Rao to be his ‘guru’ because he was the one who taught him the Telugu language and filmmaking.

• Arvind’s debut films, Young India (2010) and Aalasyam Amrutam (2010), didn’t do well at the box office and were big failures. But later, he bagged a film titled It’s My Love Story (2011) in a lead role, which gave him recognition and appreciation. He also received a nomination for Best Debut Actor (Male)- Telugu at the SIIMA Awards, 2012, for this film. For this film, he was selected through Star Hunt, which film director Madhura Sreedhar Reddy organized.

• Arvind is one of the good-looking and educated film actors of the South Film industry. He is referred to as Hrithik Roshan of the South film industry.

• In an interview, Arvind once revealed that when he was in his higher school in Europe, he had joined a go vegan campaign and also turned vegetarian since then. Arvind is also very vocal and raises his voice against hunting and eating animals.

• Arvind was also awarded as the Vegan Voice of India for his contribution towards spreading a healthier, kinder, and more sustainable lifestyle.
