• Before entering the film industry, she worked in a call center in Delhi and as an IT sales executive in Mumbai, demonstrating a corporate background prior to her pivot into cinema.

• During her struggling stage she stayed in a rented apartment with two other girls in Mumbai. Her parents sent her some money, which she used in her films.

• She also received acting training at Anupam Kher’s actor prepares institute and attended acting workshops, indicating her foray into performance and acting craft.
• In 2023, she made worked as an assistant director in the film industry with Run to the River, which marked the beginning of her journey in cinema.

• In 2025 she directed Songs of Forgotten Trees (2025), which marked her entry into feature filmmaking, where she served as both director and screenwriter.

• She made history by winning the Best Director Award in the Orizzonti (Horizons) section at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival in 2025, becoming the first Indian to achieve this honor in that category.
