• Gitaj Bindrakhia is an Indian actor and singer, who mainly works in the Punjabi music and film industries. He is the son of the popular Punjabi singer Surjit Bindrakhia.

• He grew up in village Bindrakh, Ropar, Punjab.

  

• Growing up, Gitaj noticed his father sing songs, which developed his interest in music. He has been singing songs on stage from a very young age.

  

• He actively took part in co-curricular activities during his school days and was a part of his school’s bhangra group.

• Gitaj began his singing career in 2010 with the Punjabi song Tere Bajhon Bindrakhia, which was a tribute to his father Surjit Bindrakhia.

• In 2012, Gitaj released the Punjabi song Jind Mahi. The song became a huge hit.

• A year later, he played a lead role in the Punjabi film Just U & Me. The film also starred the Punjabi actors Priyal Ghor, Jaswinder Bhalla, Sanjay Mishra, and Manoj Pahwa.

•  As a tribute to his father, he sang the song The Return of Bindrakhia in 2014. In the song, his voice and singing style were very much similar to his father’s, which gained the attention of the audience. He also dedicated the song Gal Baap Di to his father. The song was a huge hit and gained 5.2 million views on YouTube within a few days of its release.
